The World’s Best Carrot Cake™ is made from the best and freshest organic and all natural ingredients we can find. We make your cake by hand (see “the cakery“), from scratch, in small batches, to provide the best possible flavor. Each 8″ three-layer cake weighs approximately 5 pounds, and the shipping weight, with packaging, is about 8 lbs.
Once we bake and ice your World’s Best Carrot Cake™, we flash freeze it, wrap it in decorative tissue paper, accents and cellophane, and place it on ice packs in a styrofoam cooler box. The cake is surrounded by foam beads to provide more insulation and prevent movement. The cooler is enclosed in a cardboard shipping box and clearly marked as perishable. (Condensation prevents us from using biodegradable packing material, but we are always searching for greener alternatives.) Our World’s Best Sour Cream Pecan Coffee Cakes do not require insulation and use conventional packaging.
Your order will be sent via FedEx. All World’s Best Carrot Cakes™ are very moist which ensures their fresh arrival. We ship only in the continental U.S. The shipping schedule below shows the minimum lead time to place your order.

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING Schedule
(We do not ship Saturday or Sunday, or Monday of holiday weekends.)
We ship Monday through Friday for next day delivery (no Saturday or Sunday shipping). Orders completed by 1 pm will ship that day. Orders completed after 1pm will ship the next day (orders completed after 1pm on Fridays or on Saturday will be shipped on the following Monday unless it is holiday).
Please do not wait until the last moment to order during November and December to assure your order is delivered on time.
Someone must be available to receive your cake when it arrives. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the condition of a cake that is left on a doorstep or for which delivery is postponed because no one is home! Nor will we guarantee orders for which we are given an incorrect address.

Once your World’s Best Carrot Cake™ has been shipped you will receive your tracking number for FedEx.
